Much of our time is spent in the great outdoors. From prairie fires to blizzards, droughts to flooding – our greatest blessings and our greatest challenges come in trying to use our outdoor resources to provide for our family and enrich our time together. Gardening and raising animals on our farm has been a blessing beyond words, but it is a daily struggle. We are connected to our little piece of the prairie in a way that I never imagined. The lines of indoors and outdoors become blurred as we enjoy cooking outdoors in the summer and often sick or young animals end up inside for warmth and attention. We also love camping and hiking, bicycling and resting in God’s creation. The posts here relate to all of these things – our successes and failures, blessings and educational opportunities – that relate to the Great Outdoors.
